Lily is a new drone for narcissists who can’t sit still.
This robot photography platform is a waterproof flyer you can toss into the air and control from the included remote or via smartphone. Put the remote in your pocket and Lily will follow you around.
Lily weighs just under 3 pounds and is made of polycarbonate and brushed aluminum. Onboard is an HD video camera with a 94° field of view capable of shooting 1080P, or 720 at 120fps for slow motion. Selfie purists can also snap a still shot at 12 megapixels. The Li-ion battery provides 20 minutes of flight time.
The 2.4 ounce tracking remote included with Lily can change the flight mode or manually control the drone. A built-in microphone allows you to add color commentary to your footage.
Here’s a video showing some of the stunning possibilities.
Currently the Lily flying selfie drone is available for pre-order through June 15th. The retail price will be $999 but right now you can lock in one for only $499. So early adopters can save big if they order now for February 2016 delivery!
