Target Heads for the Finnish Line

In March the Minneapolis-based retailer announced a partnership with the Finnish design house, Marimekko. Best known for bold prints and bright colors, the Target collection will feature more than 200 items— ranging from swimsuits to snowboards.

Founded in 1951 in Helsinki, Marimekko came to prominence in the Sixties with simple, colorful style fabrics for clothing and home furnishings. The firm is possibly best known for the Warhol-esque poppy designs of Maija Isola.
