What’s cooler than a classic Volkswagen?
How about a fender-trimmed Baja Bug?
Or maybe a Baja Bug with a radial motor hanging off the back?
Okay… go.
This contraption was dreamed up by a motorcycle customizer in California by the name of Mike Neiman. The engine is a W670-9A from a World War Two tank and displaces 670 cubic inches. That’s almost 11 liters!
But that’s not the best part. The engine isn’t connected to the Bug’s transmission. The silver fan you see in the video is just for run-up and tuning. He has a four-foot prop for the thing and plans to take it to Bonneville soon for a speed run.
